This is a full-time, direct placement role at Shoreline Foundation.

• Creates timely and accurate estimates for prospective bids including obtaining inputs from vendors, subcontractors and field personnel as needed.
• Responsible for accuracy of bidding/estimation program including maintaining up to date material, pricing, and labor standards.
• Meet with prospective customers to gain insight into bid requirements, gathering of information regarding customer desires, scope, expected budget, potential snags and other bidders.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for new bids, performing measurements, takeoffs, calculating material and labor costs, production rates, etc.
• Submit bids in line with submission requirement and schedules.
• Upon award, verify project scope and assemble official contract, drawings, and specification documents.
• Coordinate with design engineers, customers and project manager, superintendent, or foreman to resolve contract, specifications, and job questions.
• Establish a detailed plan for each job in accordance with the estimate, contract requirements and prints to ensure a clear project budget, job work plan and schedule.
• Perform pre-job briefings and participate in reviews with the production manager to assist in job planning and scheduling as well as input regarding tentative personnel assignments.
• From time to time assist/prepare purchase orders for purchases and other required information for project.
• Participate in customer or site project meetings, as required for scope or change order related items

• 2-5 year of experience in estimating construction projects
• Experience with construction estimating software
• Proficiency with computers
