ABM US is Hiring a Receptionist Near Charlotte, NC

Pay: $17\Hr.

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. 

 Shift: Monday – Friday- 6:00am-2:30pm

Reporting to the Manager and the Operations Manager, the Receptionist is responsible for the front desk duties at the designated location. This position will also grow to include additional business. Works under general supervision following clearly defined procedures and policies. This individual provides extraordinary customer service to clients.
Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. 

Responsibilities

  • Interview scheduling
  • Take photos for new hires & temps
  • Book travel
  • Purchase supplies for HR
  • Assist with updating Policies
  • Order food for meetings and setup
  • Take the lead or monthly Newsletters
  • Greet Visitors, add them to system, check visitors in and out and create name tags
  • Receive shipments, FEDEX, UPS, Cintas and Carpet Teams
  • Walk through facility (RT daily / ASC and LC = twice per week) and water flowers
  • Check work by cleanliness crew
  • Find things that help is possible – disposal of boxes for example, or any other help that can be provided
  • Check Inventory - Restocking
  • Coffee / utensils = 2x/day
  • Restroom = 2x/day
  • Soap, paper towel, and toilet paper, battery replacements
  • Cleaning materials = 2x/month
  • Long Creek walkthrough and coffee
  • Office supplies
  • Flag compliance
  • Blowing off the back loading dock freeing it of dirt, dust, and debris – we will need to agree on the time for that
  • Filing paperwork as needed – not sure what paperwork – need to ask Kimberly
  • Posting bulletins around the buildings to keep the employees up to date on current Volvo operations – I think we asked this once and it takes 15min. But let’s keep it in the list.
  • Meetings and event setup: prepare conference areas, clean meeting areas
  • Mail and distribution of packages that arrive at the front office.
  • Additional tasks as asked
  • Support the performance of the branch operations, including planned and unplanned maintenance/service/ installation/control calls from customers.
  • Provides assistance, information and customer service as requested to arriving, transferring or departing clients.
  • Advises personnel about problems such as construction areas, accidents, weather conditions, other hazards, bottlenecks, wait times, etc. 
  • Recognizes and mitigates a variety of miscellaneous hazards encountered within the department and other work environments i.e. surroundings, mechanized equipment, and hazardous materials
  • Confers with clients and/or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment 
  • Oversees all communications within specifically assigned areas 
  • Orders supplies and equipment and issues them to personnel 
  • Records and maintains files and records of customer requests, work, or services performed, inventory, and other dispatch information 
  • Strictly adheres to all safety and regulatory compliance procedures 
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned 
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Customer Service Experience 
  • 1 yr of similar work experience
