Abile Group, Inc. is Hiring a Systems Administrator (Ops 24x7) Near St. Louis, MO

Overview

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Systems Administrator (Ops 24x7) on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure monitoring and validation of infrastructure components
  • Infrastructure security monitoring, validation, and log review activities across all infrastructure elements
  • Responsible for server configurations, monitoring, and security of physical and virtual servers and related infrastructure
  • Responsible for network configuration and compliance monitoring of cloud-based systems
  • Provides support and management of backup, disaster recovery, and related applications
  • Accurately logs, tickets, and owns/escalates incidents resulting from infrastructure events.
  • Provides accurate, timely, and professional documentation on all supported issues.
  • Provides a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Follows up on all incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Quickly identifies and escalates high-priority issues.
  • Accurately triages/assigns/escalates tickets per standard operating procedures.
  • Efficiently and accurately, resolves all assigned incidents.
  • Identifies and documents incident resolution and support knowledge.
  • Completes all assigned duties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adheres to the schedule and have dependable attendance.
  • Maintains documentation
  • Interacts with users on a daily basis to assist with functionality and provides situational awareness of ongoing issues.
  • network configuration and compliance monitoring of cloud-based systems
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required

***Shift Hours: Wednesdays - Saturdays 5:30PM - 5:30AM (with alternating Wednesdays off)**

Qualifications

Clearance Required: TS/SCI 

Degree and Years of Experience: AA/AS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field/equivalent experience preferred

Required Certifications:

  • Security

Required Skills:

  • Technically competent in server administration (Windows/Linux)
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in sever (virtual & physical), network, database, cloud services, storage system administration and support.
  • Knowledge of related hardware and software i.e. Server (Physical/Virtual), Operations systems (Windows OS 2012/2016, Unix/Linux), Cisco, and Microsoft products.
  • Knowledge of basic networking principles (routing, DNS, etc.) and/or system administration (perfmon, services, software installation, etc.) desired.
  • Must be knowledgeable/capable of effectively using common network monitoring techniques and tools (i.e. BMC BEM/SIM/BPPM, HP NNM, CA eHealth, Splunk, Nagios etc. Splunk) and ITSM suites (ServiceNow, Remedy) desired
  • Excellent communication, customer service, time management, conflict resolution, and problem determination/resolution skills are a must
  • Ability to handle multiple complex task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priority
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically that facilitate expedient problem solving
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment

Desired Certifications: 

  • Relevant technical certifications preferred (A , Network , Server Administration, etc.)
  • ITIL
