Quadrint is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator in the St. Louis, MO area.
A Cloud Systems Administrator will serve as for the Infrastructure and Architecture team providing system administration, integration, maintenance and customer support on the customer’s Enterprise systems. This position has a special emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Shell and PowerShell scripting and Corporate Business systems.Duties and qualifications, identifying both essential and marginal duties:
The Infrastructure and Architecture Team is responsible for securing, building, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux systems running on AWS. The team creates gold Amazon Machine Images (AMIs), monitors and maintains enterprise systems through a variety of methods, installs and configures software, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements. The team is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of complex system failures, application, PKI, and network problems, as well as addressing enterprise service tickets. The technical staff achieves optimum system performance and availability using a holistic approach to assess, develop, implement, and manage technical solutions. Applicant must be an innovative thinker, self-starter, possess excellent customer service skills, and must be available for after hours and on-call support. The Sr. Cloud Systems Admin will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining a critical robust backup and recovery system critical interfaces.A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Ensure system changes are performed in a manner that minimize customer impact and follow approved configuration management policies.
- Manage and maintain audit and security logs and apply security patches to Windows and Linux systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve transport, firewall and PKI problems.
- Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.
- Maintain user accounts, security groups, and distribution lists in Active Directory and business applications.
- Execute, test and validate application upgrades, tools, and plug-ins to ensure compatibility and seamless integration.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be proficient with Windows and Linux system administration, PowerShell and Shell scripting to automate tasks.
- Demonstrate high level of expertise with Amazon Web Services – S3, EC2 (EBS, ELB), RDS, Snapshots, NACLs, SGs, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Cost Optimization practices – in order to deploy capabilities, services, and effectively manage multiple AWS accounts.
- Must be familiar with Windows task scheduler and Linux crontab.
- AWS Associate, Professional or Specialty Certification.
- Customer service experience.
- Shows interest in providing support and understands the value of a satisfied customer.
- Well-spoken and articulate, personable, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to gather requirements from non-technical discussions and deliver customer-oriented solutions.
- Experience with NGA programs and NGA facilities.
- PeopleSoft experience.
