A Brooklyn based pediatric medical office is looking for an experienced Part-time medical assistant to do vitals, strep/ flu tests, inputting info into EMR, assisting doctor with exams, and helping at front desk as needed. This established practice is looking for a great Medical Assistant to join their team, support the administrative operations, and create a positive experience for their patients.

Responsibilities:

• Keep in check and regularly update patient records 
• Coordinate the daily administrative activities
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations
• Take vitals, strep/ flu tests, inputting info into EMR, and assisting doctor with exams
• Provide assistance to physicians by executing different activities 
• Provide psychological and emotional support to patients and their families
• Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment
• Ensure adherence to all medical and safety regulations
• Prepare and administer medications in accordance with physicians directions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

• Previous working experience as a Medical Assistant for 6 months-1 year minimum (certification is not required)
• Knowledge of medical terminology 
• Hands-on experience with electronic medical record systems and other medical software
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Customer-oriented and friendly

Salary: $20-$25/hour

Hours: 2 Sundays a month (10 am - 5 pm). 2x a week (2pm - 7pm), and 2x a week (10 am -2pm). Friday is off.
