Job Description:
AACI Health Clinic is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Front Desk Intern. This paid internship offers an exciting opportunity to support our front desk operations while giving back to the community. The intern will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
Patient Check-In: Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the clinic and assist them with the check-in process. Collect and verify patient information, update electronic health records, and provide necessary forms for completion.
Appointment Scheduling: Assist patients with scheduling appointments, confirming appointment details, and providing appointment reminders as needed. Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure smooth scheduling processes.
Phone and Email Communication: Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally. Address patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and provide information about clinic services as needed.
Data Entry and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Enter patient demographics, insurance information, and other relevant data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Front Desk Support: Provide administrative support to the front desk staff, including filing paperwork, organizing patient files, and assisting with other clerical tasks as assigned. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Community Engagement: Engage with patients and visitors in a friendly and compassionate manner, demonstrating sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and individual needs. Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects AACI's commitment to serving the community.
