AAA Hoosier Motor Club is Hiring a Travel Sales Manager Near Indianapolis, IN

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Direct the sales activity of the travel agents and branch associates to assure revenue goals are met or exceeded in products such as tours, cruises, travel packages, visa credit cards, financial products and AAA travel store and other member services.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide ongoing coaching and development to sales staff on market knowledge, product knowledge, and selling skills.

2. Schedule and hold regular monthly updates with sales staff and branch management, in person branch visits with sales staff, and conduct quarterly sales performance reviews.
3. Responsible for development and execution of special incentive campaigns, i.e., Dash for Cash to drive revenue increases.
4. Primary sales contact for the vendors, reviewing contracts and account performance; determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and sales reports.
5. Implement and execute all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed set targets through research of industry and related events, publications, and updates.
6. Ability to read and interpret financial reports, agency and vendor contracts and agency commission compensation communication. Assist with development of annual branch revenue budgets.

7. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
8. Coordination and management of event budgets for Travel, Branch, and special events, i.e., Travel Expo, Vendor Presentations, Indiana State Fair, and other team initiatives.

9. Coordinate marketing and digital efforts to integrate social media and any other lead generating campaigns to support all events.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Travel or Business preferred; or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience; or 5-10 years of any combination of sales and management experience.
