Headquartered in Orange, California, A-Tech is searching for an ambitious Account Manager to join our team and be instrumental as we move to the next level.
Job Description:
A-Tech is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team of highly talented and motivated individuals. The right candidate must possess the ability to follow instructions well, work independently, prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and be a leader amongst your peers. Are you that person?
The Account Manager in the Sales Department is responsible for building relationships with individuals and companies in the community, selling the company’s services and reaching internal sales goals. This position will also contribute to developing and implementing sales strategies. This position is reserved for salespersons who have a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the environmental industry, Healthcare, Construction, or a combination of. Compensation is $70,000 - $120,000 which includes base and commission.
Job Duties:
The essential functions include, but not limited to the following:
  • Identifying prospective customers by following leads from existing customers, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences, and more.
  • Nurtures and expands existing business relationships to increase lead generation and average job size.
  • Creating awareness and demand for the company services by locating, presenting to, and selling A-Tech Consulting, Inc. to new and prospects.
  • Identifying potential opportunities and effectively communicating benefits and opportunities available to meet needs and interests. 
  • Maintaining communications with sales management, to ensure efforts are in line with objectives. 
  • Maintains membership and involvement in targeted associations and achieves significant committee and/or leadership positions.
  • Maintaining professional and timely communication with internal staff and all departments.
  • Calling on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information and quoting appropriate customer prices.
  • Maintaining all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.
  • Updating the other departments on prices given to potential clients.
  • Prepares and presents sales proposals.
  • Meet sales activity thresholds through clients and prospect meeting, events, phone, social media, email, etc.
  • Monitoring market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales. 
  • Negotiating details of contracts and payments. 
  • Consulting with clients after sales or contract signing to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. 
  • Tracking all sales activities in the Company CRM program.
  • Setting and meeting sales goals for sales activity and revenue. 
  • Attend and participate in weekly sales meetings.
  • Attending and participating in association networking events and meetings, such as tradeshows, gold tournaments, and promotional events.
  • Plans, organizes, and participates in tradeshows and other marketing functions, including charitable events, and other networking and social activities, many of which are after normal business hours.
  • Performing other duties, as assigned. 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Knowledge of various relationship sales techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Become and remain proficient in our services and the associate terminology.
  • Flexible, creative, and able to work in a non-structured developing work environment. 
  • Demonstrated capacity to think “outside the box”, communicate and motivate customers on the company’s services, programs and new ideas. 
  • Study and learn A-Tech set of services and gaining a working knowledge of services. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable in Sales CRM program.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, including well-developed presentation skills. 
  • Excellent customer relationship skills. 
Environmental Health & Safety Requirements:  
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with ISO14001 EMS, Environmental Management System.
  • Intervene and take appropriate actions on any non-conformance, possible non-conformance, or concerns affecting.
    • 1) compliance with any known legal, regulatory or company requirements,
    • 2) EHS policies, procedures, or other management system requirements, and
    • 3) expectations or needs of other interested parties and communicate it using the appropriate company process.
  • When requested, participate in development, communication, and implementation of EHS programs. 
  • Communicate and follow up as required, on any EHS concern, incidents, near misses, or opportunities for improvement using the appropriate company process.
  • Must follow all SOPs and Company Safety Rules. Utilize all required environmental controls during standard operations, and non-standard/emergency conditions. 
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. PPE required includes chemical resistant gloves and protective clothing, full and/or half-face air-purifying respirators (including dust masks), ear, head, foot, and eye protection.
Other Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 sales experience in the environmental industry, Healthcare, Construction, or a combination of.
  • Must have a valid Drivers’ License and operating vehicle and cellphone. 
  • Must be able to travel, include overnight trips.
  • Ability to work long hours, including overtime and double time.
  • Be available and responsive to incoming projects and client requests.
  • Maintain professionalism in all scenarios when representing A-Tech. 
Physical Requirements 
  • Must be able to lift and handle up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to travel and spend long periods of time in a vehicle.
  • Comfortable working in a sedentary position for long periods of time. 
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
