Job Description: Job Summary The Application Development Manager for WMS applications provides leadership in full systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) within the WMS suite of applications to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. He/She guides teams to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. This position researches and supports the integration of emerging technologies within WMS or that can be leveraged by WMS suite of applications. He/She provides knowledge and support for applications’ development, integration, and maintenance. This position will lead senior and junior team members with project related activities and tasks. This position guides and influences department and project teams. He/She facilitates collaboration with stakeholders. He/She manages the team effectively allocating tasks and priorities as agreed upon with stakeholders. He/She communicates to the peers within the group on the progress of the different tasks. He/She solves technical issues or functional issues in the assigned application and mentors the team. He/She provides feedback periodically to the team. Responsibilities: Manages Information Systems projects. Manages system analysis and design. Manages design and development of applications. Manages creation of application documentation. Guides system integration. Manages applications' maintenance and support. Evaluates and monitors emerging technologies and products. Manages and develops others. Manages and enforces functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices. Works directly with external clients and UPS vendors. Manages workload balancing between resources. Provide status on projects to senior management and stakeholders Additional details: Lead a cross functional team responsible for deliverables within the Healthcare application landscape that includes map development for systems integration, as well as SAP (order management system) and Softeon (Warehouse Management System) development/configuration to support Logistics & Distribution client requests and onboarding Work closely with business stakeholders on new change requests to evaluate feasibility and provide effort estimate. Coordinate with different vendors, IT teams, and clients to track deliverables. Design solutions for new features/change requests. Help to maintain configuration repository and custom changes deployed to different customers. Minimum Qualifications: 12 years’ experience working on a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Softeon WMS is preferable, but any other WMS is fine. 5 years prior experience managing IT team(s) 3 years experience writing and executing SQLs Strong project management and coordination skills Experience in vendor management and customer facing roles Experience in systems integration including APIs and file formats such as JSON, XML Familiarity with Business Acumen and Technical Analysis Familiar with Agile software development and SAFe framework Must be detail-oriented and organized Self-Motivated Leader Excellent written and verbal communication skills Problem Solver Big Picture Thinker Industry knowledge of healthcare logistics preferred but not required Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field Employee Type: Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
