Overview:

Expect Lace, a multi-channel lingerie retailer with a modern approach to fashion-forward lingerie, is seeking an experienced and passionate Store Director for our Manayunk location. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished sales professional, key holder, and manager, capable of leading a high-performing team and achieving store goals.

Leadership and inclusivity:

  • Lead by example, illustrating Above & Beyond customer care in every interaction.
  • Identify and mentor future leaders, creating action plans for skill improvement.
  • Manage and ensure timely training for all Store Associates.
  • Proactively address turnover and maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Promote Inclusive Practices: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to cultivate a more inclusive environment by educating and empowering staff on queer language and diverse product offerings.
  • Lead and Develop Teams: Oversee a dynamic team of 2-6 employees, ensuring a commitment to quality customer service and the daily operational excellence required for a thriving retail environment.

Business Management:

  • Maximize sales volume and profitability while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess performance, identify gaps, and track trends.
  • Identify key clients and implement service strategies to drive sales and enhance customer loyalty.
  • Coach, manage, and lead the sales team, providing clear direction and priorities.
  • Foster a climate of collaboration, celebrating individual and team successes.

Operational Excellence:

  • Exemplify all store policies, including opening/closing procedures, transaction processing, inventory management, and safety compliance.
  • Manage store expenses to budget, understanding the impact of actions on operating costs.
  • Take ownership of the store, facilitating repairs, emergency responses, and maintenance activities.
  • Stay current on all store systems and ensure team members are knowledgeable about products and promotions.

Procurement and Supply Chain Management:

  • Optimize Product Procurement: Create and manage weekly purchase orders. Collaborating with multiple distributors to ensure a diverse and well-stocked product offering.

Visual Merchandising:

  • Enhance Shopping Experience: Implement strategic visual merchandising techniques to organize products for an aesthetically pleasing and customer-centric shopping experience.

Recruitment and Training:

  • Build High-Performing Teams: Drive the recruitment, selection, and training processes for staff, focusing on product knowledge, customer satisfaction, and daily operational efficiency.

Logistics and Inventory Control:

  • Efficient Inventory Management: Coordinate weekly shipments, ensuring timely preparation of products for the sales floor, including real-time updates of inventory and pricing.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transactions Management: Oversee weekly deposits and change orders, ensuring accurate and secure financial transactions.

Workforce Administration:

  • Streamlined HR Processes: Manage employee time off requests, scheduling, and payroll, optimizing workforce administration for maximum efficiency.

Performance Analysis:

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Implement a systematic approach to analyze weekly and monthly sales reports, extracting actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.

Facilities and Supplies Management:

  • Maintain Operational Efficiency: Ensure the daily upkeep of office supplies and equipment, maintaining a conducive work environment.
