Job Description

QT is a civil engineering firm that specializes in construction engineering and materials testing and inspection services. We are seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for our Gilbert, Arizona office. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter who possesses high attention to detail, has strong organizational skills, and is looking for a career path within a growing company.

Job Requirements

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including providing support to all administrative staff and Project Managers as needed, assisting in daily office needs, and managing QT’s general administrative activities. Training and guidance regarding company specific procedures, methodologies and information systems will be provided to the extent necessary as assigned responsibilities grow. A highly successful Administrative Assistant will have the potential opportunity for career growth into higher level positions.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
  • Greeting visitors
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Overall office coordination including supply ordering and stocking
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Scheduling and setting up meetings
  • Assist in gathering geotechnical reporting date from Project Managers and compiling reports
  • Assist other departments and Project Managers with administrative tasks, as needed
  • Data entry and other assigned administrative tasks
Position Requires:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional office experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and adjust to daily changes in priorities to meet deadlines
  • Desire to work in a team environment, while carrying out individual responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to commute to the Gilbert office Monday through Friday during normal business hours of 8 AM – 5 PM.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Civil/Construction industry
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint
