YOUR ROLE AS An EXECUTIVE CHEF OR SOUS CHEF
As the Executive Chef or Sous Chef at Palolo Chinese Home, you will have a wide range of responsibilities that contribute to the smooth operation of our organization that is also financially sound. You will be responsible overseeing the team to provide high quality product while ensuring compliance for food safety and handling are met along with building positive engaging personnel. You will partner with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality services that meet rules and regulations and company policies and procedures. In your day to day operation, you will oversee the kitchen operations, including food ordering, inventory management, proper staffing needs and kitchen safety and sanitation and developing staff's skills and knowledge.

WHAT MATTERS MOST
To be successful in the role of an Executive Chef or Sous Chef, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualifications. These include a minimum of a high school diploma or general education equivalent. Additionally, you should have 3 to 5 years of related experience in producing high volume meals for a targeted audience and have ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification. Excellent leadership skill is also a must have to be successful in the position.
Proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and databases is essential for carrying out your job duties effectively. Furthermore, physical stamina is required, as you will be expected to stand and walk for extended periods of time, lift equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with assistance, and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting with vendors and other team members.
