Master's Degree in Information Technology or related specialized field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Specialized certification may be required. Typically possesses fifteen (15) or more years experience in the field performing complex and conceptual analysis, consulting, project management and providing recommendations. Ability to act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational projects. Ability to develop and recommend long range goals and objectives. Ability to design, research and develop highly advanced new technological applications resulting in new projects which require major decision making recommendations. PhD Degree preferred. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Specific Job Description: Candidate must be capable of evaluating hardware/software deliveries for installation into operational baseline. This is a hybrid role, 8am -5pm, in-office on Wednesdays.

• Hands- on experience maintaining and managing FireMon Security Manager Base components on- premise and/or cloud ecosystem.
• Intermediate to expert experience providing detailed reporting, as directed, on the audit of firewall rules.

Required Skills/Attributes

• Hands- on experience maintaining and managing FireMon Security Manager Base components on- premise and/or cloud ecosystem.
• Experience analyzing firewall configurations for optimal configurations, and network connectivity.
• Experienced producing continuous compliant and non-compliant analysis in support of Cybersecurity network security and change management best practices.
• Intermediate to expert experience providing detailed reporting, as directed, on the audit of firewall rules.
• Knowledge of with Remedy change request and reporting.
• A proactive platform administrator that appreciates the challenges of working in a dynamic environment.

Desired Skills/Attributes

• As needed performs technical writing, create formal documentation (SOPs, reports, and architecture diagrams), and configure/operate the FireMon platform to provide reports of firewall rules reviewed, errors found, and devices configured and deployed in support of enterprise IT security requirements.
• Familiar with researching & identifying solutions in log files for different systems: Firewall or Unix/Linux System logs.
• Experience and demonstrated knowledge of Network Security, Firewall, Linux, vendors.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the OSI model, Linux file system, network security industry compliance, firewall packet handling, syslog, and intermediate level firewall administration.
• Experience analyzing and delivering customer facing information related to iptables, tcpdump, WireShark, NMAP, vulnerability scans.
• Ability to manage customer expectations and re-align those expectations around product functionality.
• Knowledge and documented experience with network and cybersecurity infrastructure technology.
• Familiarity, and experience administrating any of the following: Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Checkpoint, and Fortinet products.
• Exposed to security posture and configuration compliance per NIST 800-53 and industry best practices for Cybersecurity network security products).
• Bachelor's degree and 3 year of related experience
• Intermediate Linux & Firewall logs troubleshooting and analysis.
• Intermediate scripting knowledge (BASH, Perl, Python, PHP).
• Regularly produces technical reports and customer facing trend diagrams.
• Effective written and oral communication skills. Able to express technical concepts and operational details in relevant ways to non-technical audiences.
• Customer service oriented and mission focused.

The Salary range for this position is $74,339 - $92,913.The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
