Position Summary: A part-time, temporary adjunct position to facilitate an online course that allows you to integrate a Christian worldview with expertise in your teaching discipline.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Facilitate an online course in the teaching discipline of expertise
* Demonstrate skill and/or knowledge in teaching discipline and make continuous efforts to improve instructional quality
* Plan, develop, and use a variety of facilitation methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives
* Model empathy, awareness, and relational presence to cultivate an authentic online learning community
* Respond in a timely manner to all student communication
* Demonstrate competence in integrating technology in a virtual classroom and willingness to explore new facilitation methods
* Evaluate students to measure progress toward achievement of course objectives and inform students of their progress in the course in a timely manner
* Keep accurate student records and submit related assessment reports and forms within requested timelines
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Master's degree with (18) graduate hours in teaching discipline is required; terminal degree preferred; certification in area of course facilitation preferred
* Five years of work experience in the areas of online or resident course facilitation
* Official transcript required for employment and written proof of certification in area of expertise
* Effective oral and written communication skills in an online setting
* Organizational abilities in online course facilitation
