POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a dedicated undergraduate faculty instructor to teach core communication courses, including Freshman Speech and Oral Communication for the Profession, from a biblical worldview. As an integral member of our academic team, you will inspire and guide students in developing essential communication skills vital for their academic and professional success. Your role will involve designing engaging curriculum, delivering impactful lectures, facilitating interactive discussions, and providing constructive feedback to foster students' growth. We're looking for someone passionate about empowering students to effectively convey their ideas while integrating biblical values into their communication practices.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach assigned course (including class preparation, grading, and other related teaching activities)
• Support activities related to the University, academic school, division, and department
• Maintain regular posted office hours to be available to students
• Affirm the religious beliefs of BJU to students and student affiliates

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Possess knowledge of teaching field
• Effective oral and written communication
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills in the classroom and interpersonally with students and colleagues
• Demonstrate organizational abilities in teaching and classroom management
• Possess and communicate a Biblical worldview and integrate those principles into subject matter
• Professional in appearance and presentation
• Exemplify a biblical role model for students and colleagues
• Master’s degree in communication
• Teaching experience with Com 101 Fundamentals of Speech is preferred
• Microsoft Office
