We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely recording of expenses using various accounts payable procedures and processes.
Job Duties for Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Provide services to our internal customers and vendors to facilitate a great employee/vendor relationship
- Timely processing of vendor invoices and charges
- Process individual invoices, vendor statements or internal check requests
- Determine proper expense coding
- Accurately enter data to create payments and records
- Vendor record maintenance
Qualifications for an Account Payable Specialist:
- Professional communication and relationship building skills for interreacting with vendors and staff
- High School Diploma required, Associates degree or higher in Accounting preferred
- One year of experience in accounting or a business related field is required
- High level of organization is required
- We are looking for someone who is detail orientated
- Flexibility to take on changing priorities is required
- Intermediate math skills are required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, allocations, etc)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and intermediate level skills with Excel are a must
- Experience with Great Plains a plus
