Summary
T2S Solutions currently has an opening for an accomplished and innovative Senior Engineering Lead with extensive experience in software development, network design, hardware and system integration, and technical oversight across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in multiple engineering disciplines such as hardware, software, systems, and test.

Primarily, we are looking for someone with a diverse technical background with leadership skills and a passion for innovation. You will be leading an engineering team full of subject matter experts, and you need to be have enough understanding across engineering disciplines to be able to lead, but you do not need to be an expert in everything. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they don’t meet all of the qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering teams involved in software development, system integration, and test
• Provide technical oversight and guidance on multiple projects
• Identify and architect novel and innovative solutions to complex and/or vague user problems and articulate that vision to the engineer team for execution
• Drive technical experimentation and innovation, encouraging a culture of innovation within the engineering team
• Define and implement engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices to foster a culture of experimentation and innovation
• Manage and optimize engineering labs, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and infrastructure
• Participate in the full system development lifecycle, providing strategic guidance and oversight from concept to deployment
• Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues, leveraging strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving skills
• Contribute to architectural decisions and provide technical leadership in defining system architecture and design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third parties to integrate seamless integrate systems components

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 10 years of experience in software and /or system development, system integration, and technical leadership roles
• Active DoD security clearance required or the ability to obtain
• Proven expertise in multiple development languages (Java, C , C#) and scripting languages (BASH, Python, PowerShell)
• Extensive experience in Linux-based systems administration (Ubuntu, Solaris)
• Strong background in conducting System of Systems (SoS) Interoperability Testing and integration
• Experience in building and managing engineer labs, ensuring efficient resource utilization
• Proven track record of creating and implementing engineering processes and methodologies
• Proficiency in DevOps tools (Gitlab, Jira, Nexus, Artifactory) and Git version control.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying complex secure govcloud networks
• Proficient in database design management and administration SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Familiarity with development and deployment docker containers and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• Experience with AI/ML and the ability to practically apply the power of AI/ML in a novel way to solve complex problems
• Ability to navigate ambiguity with the customer while providing clarity to the engineering team

Preferred

• Masters or PhD a technical discipline
• Proven expertise in multiple development languages (Java, C , C#) and scripting languages (BASH, Python, PowerShell)
• Extensive experience in Linux-based systems administration (Ubuntu, Solaris)
• Strong background in conducting System of Systems (SoS) Interoperability Testing and integration
• Experience in building and managing engineer labs, ensuring efficient resource utilization
• Proven track record of creating and implementing engineering processes and methodologies
• Proficiency in DevOps tools (Gitlab, Jira, Nexus, Artifactory) and Git version control
• Experience with leading research & development and/or prototyping efforts
• Experience with experimental programs for the DoD
• Previous work on DoD C5ISR programs
• Pervious professional or military experience supporting CBRN missions
• Familiarity with software defined Radios such as MPU5s or TrellisWare
• Previous experience support Nett warrior programs
• Experience utilizing Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) hardware or software in support of DoD missions
