Summary
T2S Solutions has openings for two Interns to supporting our Software Engineering & Development efforts here at APG. Working on various software development, configuration, & deployment automation tasks and projects for the US Army’s Forward Prototype (FP) project, this Internship will provide the opportunity to learn the technical details of the FP system architecture that provides an independent cloud architecture founded upon, but not limited to, Canonicals’ MAAS, Juju, Ceph, Ubuntu Linux, Red Hat Linux, VMWare, and ESXI. You will learn administration and management details relevant to our system architecture and distributed network that utilizes bandwidth virtualization for communication resilience.

In addition, you will work as an integrated part of our engineering team to provide new software automation, system integration, software capabilities, verification, and validation procedures. All while contributing to requirements maturation, schedules, verification, validation and test, mission data definition, team leadership, architecture analysis, and CONOPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct automation and system validation for the FP environment
• Assist in the technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective engineering, and reporting for assigned issues managed within the GitLab platform
• Support multiple areas across the team, allowing you to contribute to each technical area with production and engineering support. The initial assignment will be to help our cloud engineering team, and you will adjust as the engineering lead deems beneficial to the project and your learning
• Utilize tools, architectures, technologies, and methodologies to support and optimize robust, scalable enterprise solutions for the Forward Prototype (FP)
• Document engineered diagrams, automations, configurations, and network technologies implemented
• Perform other duties as assigned by the project’s engineering lead

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued security clearance
• Actively registered in a university’s technical engineering degree program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Data Science
• Strong interest in learning about Military Intelligence Systems. (U.S. Army Preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with teams, developing rigorous and integrated solutions to detailed-level issues
• Experience with open-source network software solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstratable knowledge in multiple programming and scripting languages (C, C , Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Powershell Scripting)
• Anticipated college graduation date by the end of 2025
• Successfully involved in both academic and non-academic activities while maintaining a high GPA greater than 3.75, demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• A visible and strong desire to make a difference for the government and the soldiers we serve
