Job Description

Job Description
About Feedonomics

Have you ever wondered how companies list their products on Amazon? Or how Google knows which products are in stock in a store near you? How about how your order gets to your door when you buy from a 3rd party merchant on Amazon? That’s where Feedonomics comes in!

As a leading product feed management platform, Feedonomics partners with agencies, brands, and retailers to optimize and list their products on the top ecommerce shopping destinations around the world.

Here at Feedonomics we “eat our own dog food”, meaning that in addition to our merchant and agency users, Feedonomics has over a hundred analysts using our platform to service some of the largest merchants in the world like Walmart and Target. This makes sure that we are building the right product and iterating constantly.

Since its inception in 2014, Feedonomics has developed an incredible reputation for our full-service approach to feed management, our inclusive culture, and our industry-leading technology. With principles that go beyond optics, Feedonomics looks to deliver the same people-first strategy internally as we do externally.

The Product team at Feedonomics

Our Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Feedonomics. This dynamic team of product managers, designers, and project managers work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that make an impact on the world of eCommerce and beyond.

The Role

Feedonomics is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager specializing in order fulfillment technology to lead the development and enhancement of our solutions in the e-commerce ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in order fulfillment systems (e.g. ERP, OMS, WMS, 3PL, POS, iPaaS), online sales channels (e.g. e-commerce platforms, marketplaces) and managing and mentoring product managers. As a Senior Product Manager, you will drive strategic product initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the future of our order fulfillment technology solutions to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

The Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of order fulfillment technology products, with a focus on order fulfillment systems, online sales channels, and related technologies.
  • Enthusiastically manage and mentor a Product Manager and help them to be successful in their areas of responsibility.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs across sales platforms (e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, social commerce), fulfillment systems, and technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with other product managers, engineering, design, sales, and customer support teams to define product requirements and priorities based on market insights and business objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively to decompose intricate projects into smaller, more manageable tasks, progressively enhancing customer value with each iteration.
  • Communicate business outcomes and performance metrics to key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Prioritize feature backlog and allocate resources effectively to deliver high-impact product releases in a timely manner.
  • Create comprehensive narratives for Stories and Epics, and communicate all pertinent details to the development team(s) throughout the development process, including planning and grooming meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Design team to create prototypes for new features.
  • Verify the viability of new features by soliciting feedback from platform users prior to development.
  • Demonstrate new features to stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and customers.
  • Manage the product and sprint backlog in Jira, ensuring clarity and up-to-date data.
  • Analyze and measure the impact of product enhancements, iterating continually to optimize performance.
The Requirements
  • 7 years of experience in Product Management or related roles within the e-commerce industry, with a strong focus on order fulfillment technology.
  • 2 years of experience managing and supporting Product Managers, sharing your knowledge and contribution to their growth and development.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in order fulfillment technologies.
    • Order fulfillment systems (e.g. ERP, OMS, WMS, 3PL, POS, iPaaS, etc.)
    • E-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, etc.)
    • Marketplaces (e.g. Amazon, Walmart, eBay, BOPIS and Same-Day Delivery)
  • You possess an entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for customer-centric innovation.
  • You understand the life cycle of a product as it relates to product catalogs, inventory management, product listings, and order management.
  • You demonstrate a bias for action, consistently driving initiatives forward.
  • You have a proven track record of leading successful product initiatives and driving product growth in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have a technical background or technical orientation, enough to get in the weeds with engineers to understand the pros and cons of different technologies, designs, and potential solutions.
  • You possess strong UX instincts and while you won't be responsible for independent designs, you will collaborate effectively with design and research colleagues.
  • You're great at communicating and negotiating with cross-functional teams.
  • You possess a strong ability to influence others, fostering strong collaboration, even when there are differing viewpoints.
  • You're curious and love trying new things. You ask yourself “Why did they build it that way?” or “What would happen if…?”
  • You get excited about tackling big, complicated, and often ambiguous problems.
  • You understand that human behavior is complex and changing behaviors is a lot harder than building features and technology.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You possess strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable product plans.
  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering. Master degree is desirable.
What's in it for you?
  • Remote work set-up
  • Competitive pay
  • Unlimited PTO for salaried positions and up to three weeks for hourly employees
  • Medical, dental, vision (VSP) insurance, HSA, FSA, life insurance, and more
  • Monthly half-day Fridays (yes, really!)
  • 401K retirement plans
  • Family benefits, such as parental leave, transition benefits for new parents, newborn sick leave, adoption assistance, pet insurance, and more
  • Internal Feedonomics skill certifications
  • Virtual and in-person team events
  • FeedoFUNds, a dedicated budget to foster and build relationships across the company for team events
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERG)
  • Referral bonus program
Here at Feedonomics, we believe in giving back to our employees as well as the community by engaging in philanthropic events and providing days off to volunteer. We are also committed to our employees' well-being by offering employee assistance programs, access to a wellness app, and diversity and inclusion resource groups.
