Magnum Venus Products Inc is Hiring a Sawyer Near Knoxville, TN
- Read blueprints and other drawings to ensure products are sized and otherwise machined correctly.
- Operate various saws and other machinery / power tools including horizontal band saw, vertical band saw, and abrasive saw.
- Operate forklifts and other related powered industrial trucks to move and place raw material and finished goods.
- Operate parts washer and tumbler to clean parts for machining.
- De-burr parts and complete other finishing tasks using manual and power tools.
- Update information in manufacturing software regarding job data and inventory.
- Operate precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gages.
- Inspect raw materials for quality and defects before processing, ensuring only suitable materials are used in production.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and handling materials. Take proactive measures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, material usage, and equipment maintenance activities.
- High school degree or GED equivalent.
- 1 years of related manufacturing experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and instructional drawings.
- Forklift experience and previous certification preferred.
- Mechanical skills/aptitude and ability to use precision gages/tools.
- Comprehension of machine tolerance.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. majority of workday.
- Ability to stand and/or walk over majority of workday.
- Ability to use fine motor skills (hands and fingers) up to majority of workday and ability to hear.
- Other physical activity may include reaching, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and/or pulling.
- Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
