- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, strategies, and schedules to ensure optimal functioning of machinery, equipment, and facilities during relocation processes.
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to plan and execute MVP's company relocations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians and electricians during relocation projects, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Conduct thorough assessments of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment at current and new locations to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation plans.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities before, during, and after relocation to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems during relocation projects and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks related to relocation activities and coordinate logistics effectively.
- Utilize mechanical design skills to assess, improve, and design components for machinery and equipment as needed during relocation or regular maintenance activities.
- Oversee machine shop repair operations, including fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly of parts and components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory levels, throughout the relocation process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including NFPA, NEC, and OSHA guidelines, during relocation projects.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in maintenance operations related to MVP's company relocations.
- High school degree or GED equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance management, Mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Prove experience in managing company relocations, including relocation of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and mechanical components.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team during relocation projects.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with single and 3 phase electrical required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. over two-thirds of workday.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to climb ladders and operate machinery to include but not limited to Lifts, Ladders, Skid steers.
- Other physical activity may include standing, climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, and frequent use of hands and fingers.
- Fine motor skills required to use small parts in assemblies.
