POSITION SCOPE
The human resource generalist is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations (e.g., correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry).
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance, ensuring accuracy.
Works with PEO to process payroll.
Administer HR programs and policies, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Onboarding new employees with orientations monthly, including employment policies, dress code, PTO, and benefits.
Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
Develop and streamline company policies and procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriately.
Assists the HR Director with HR projects.
Assists with benefits administration.
Prepares and participates in staff meetings.
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
Compiles reports from the HRIS database.
Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues.
Answer employee questions concerning policies, benefits, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.
3-5 years experience in HR environment.
Bi-lingual a plus.
Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who excels at working in a dynamic and changing environment.
Ability to manage and/or contribute to a high volume and wide range of projects at any given time.
Excellent understanding of labor laws.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent skills at creating thoughtful and analytical presentations.
Demonstrated ability to manage the everyday details of a project while focusing on the highest quality result.
