About the Company and the AP Accountant Opportunity:

• Our fantastic repeat client is a leader in the retail industry, operating for almost 100 years in the DMV area. They are leaders in their market and experts at what they do!
• Due to growth, they are hiring an AP Accountant to join their accounting team! Possibility for a permanent placement depending on performance and fit!
• The AP Accountant will work Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, with a potential for overtime. This person will work 100% in the office in Laurel, MD to start.

Job Duties of the AP Accountant:

• Process a high volume of manual accounts payable invoices ( 500 per week)
• Handle check runs
• Perform reconciliations
• Interact with sales team who submit petty cash forms
• Assist in the preparation for new system implementation
• Ad hoc duties as needed

Qualifications of the AP Accountant:

• 2 years' high volume accounts payable and reconciliation experience
• Must be comfortable working in a manual environment
• Intermediate Excel skills required. Knowledge of pivot tables and vlookup highly preferred
• Experience using NetSuite a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check!
