Carle Health is Hiring a Food Service Lead Near Bloomington, IL
Position Summary:The Food Service Lead supervises and coordinates day to day operations in the Atrium Cafe under the guidance of the retail supervisor. Including but not limited to coaching and mentoring associates, ensure timely customer service to all guests, support kitchen staff during high volume times. Oversees total food service operation in the absence of the supervisor.
Qualifications: CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
IL Food Service Sanitation Manager upon hire or ANSI Food Protection Manager Certification upon hire.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years Food Service or Hospitality Industry experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of safety and sanitation standards. Ensures that department meets all local, state and federal regulatory requirements. The ability to lead and mentor associates in Food Service job functions.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor activities in kitchen, dish room and retail food service areas to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
- Responsible for staffing, call offs / absences.
- Ensures that department meets all local, state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Under management direction will maintain standards of service and discipline according to policies and procedures established within the department.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are being completed daily / weekly / monthly.
- Oversee total food service operation in the absence of management.
- Supervise all day to day operations.
- Complete lead shift list daily / weekly / monthly.
