BRT, Inc. is Hiring a Remote HR Manager (FT)

We’ve recently had a great opportunity become available for the right person here at BRT, Inc., a national bulk liquid products transportation leader in B2B logistics with 130 Team Members. We’re seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to support the operations of the Human Resources department. This position will report to the CFO and will lead various HR functions. The ideal candidate must have a passion for helping others and be able to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization, with a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality.
This will be a hybrid position after training, and as such, the candidate must live within a commutable distance to Parkesburg, PA.
Job Summary:
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resources strategies to align with business strategies and objectives.
  • Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process for staff positions, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resources compliance and strategy needs.
  • Develops and implements employee wellness programs.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Advises the leadership team on issues pertaining to employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
  • Processes the bi-weekly payroll.
  • Monitors, sources, and implements technology to support the needs of the HR department and the company.
  • Ensures and updates online file storage and maintenance, making sure information is accurate and up to date, auditing view/edit access, and maintaining required confidentiality.
  • Implements and oversees new hire orientation, recognition, and retention programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, and/or equivalent of education and experience required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of human resources management experience; 2-3 years in a previous supervisory role preferred.
  • SHRM/HRCI certification is highly desired.
