Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Identification & Engagement:
    • Conduct thorough research to discover potential vendors.
    • Initiate contact and maintain relationships through phone and written communication.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Be the main point of contact for vendors, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
  • Strategic Vendor Alignment:
    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure vendor offerings align with our strategic objectives.
  • Contract Negotiations:
    • Negotiate contracts to secure terms beneficial for both parties.
  • Creative Problem-Solving:
    • Employ innovative strategies to overcome industry-specific challenges.
  • Diligent Follow-Up:
    • Show unwavering follow-up and determination in nurturing vendor relationships.
  • Data Management:
    • Maintain meticulous records of vendor interactions and agreements, providing updates to management.
  • Grant Writing & Social Services Experience:
    • Utilize excellent writing skills for various purposes, including grant applications, and leverage experience with social services organizations to enhance vendor relations and partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Communication & Writing Skills:
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and proposals. Experience in grant writing strongly preferred.
  • Research & Negotiation:
    • Robust research and negotiation capabilities.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Creative problem-solving skills with a proven track record of overcoming obstacles.
  • Persistence:
    • Demonstrated persistence and the ability to achieve goals despite challenges.
  • Social Services Background:
    • Experience working with or within social services organizations is highly beneficial.
