Job Overview

Join our dynamic team for a summer internship opportunity at Rubies Costumes. We're seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are passionate about the Halloween industry to join us in various departments including Product Development, Licensing, Design, Sourcing, and Sales. This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to the exciting world of costumes and merchandise across all your favorite celebrations!

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Design team to develop new and innovative costume designs.
• Assist in the production of design assets for digital and print materials including packaging, advertisements, and promotional materials.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, renderings, and prototypes for product presentations and pitches.
• Engage in the design process from initial concept development to final product creation, including fabric selection, trims, and embellishments.
• Support the creation of technical specification sheets and CAD drawings for costume prototypes and samples.
• Assist with photo shoots, styling, and prop sourcing for product photography and marketing campaigns.

Job Competencies

• Must be currently enrolled in College or University.

• Basic pattern making and garment construction a plus.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Have a passion for the Halloween industry and pop-culture.
• Must be able to commute to our office and work on-site.
