The individual who fills the role of Sales Account Representative will be an ambassador for our company by building strong relationships with internal and external customers. This individual ensures the future profitability of the Company by supporting or managing current accounts as well as prospecting new business opportunities. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to make an immediate impact and continue to grow with us long-term.
Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to):
  • Responsible for supporting or managing multiple automotive accounts
  • Maintain/increase current sales with existing customers through resolution of delivery, quality, and/or pricing issues
  • Identify new business opportunities through regular contact with engineering and purchasing functions at existing customers
  • Manage negotiations and new business acquisition phase with both existing and new customers
  • Understand and support cost estimating activities to obtain accurate and competitive quotes
  • Support sales department initiatives, account managers, and customer requests
  • Research and report market trends and competitive activity
  • Develop strategies to address new, existing or changing markets
  • Provide sales reports and analysis
  • Process PO’s, engineering changes, and ensure they are implemented according to agreed upon customer requirements
  • Provide Department support of Quality System responsibilities as outlined in TS16949 Policy and Procedural Manuals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or another related field
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the automotive supply-chain required
  • Ability to develop and foster key relationships
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency
  • In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry or ambition to excel quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must be able to travel to customer locations with occasional overnight travel/must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation
