The Oakwood Group is currently looking for a CNC Operator/Machinist for 2nd shift to join our family-owned operation!
Job Summary: Analyze specifications, lay out material, set up and operate machine tools, cutting tool & die details and gauges.

Job Requirements (included but not limited to)
- Firm understanding of machining center theory including X-Y-Z Axis
- Minimum of 3 year in CNC machining experience
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with G & M codes, tool offsets, speed, and feed editing
- Must be able to interpret blueprints in metric or inch
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy within a timely matter
- Analytical & problem-solving skills utilizing strong math disciplines
- Firm understanding of cutting tools
- Programing experience using programs (Prospector, Edgecam, Mastercam)
- Experience in a tool and die builds is preferred but not required
- 3-4 Axis machining
- Knowledge of Fanuc Controls (HAAS)
- Experience cutting tool steel and aluminum
- Basic understanding of computer programs including Microsoft Word & Excel
- Operate tool room equipment including, but not limited to mill, lathe & grinders
- Must have all personal tools standards to the trade practice
- Operate lift truck and overhead crane
- Working extended hours
- CNC programming: 3 years (Required)
- Manufacturing: 3 years (Required)
- Knowledge of tooling material characteristics
- Reading measurement tools
