Hexagons Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate within our Transportation logistic group.

*Please note, this position is temp-to-hire, and is required to work in-person at our office in Madison, Alabama. Beginning as temporary employment, this position is not to exceed six (6) months and has the possibility to transition into full-time employment upon reevaluation.

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments
• Prepare items for shipment: Manifesting, packaging, labeling, and shipping merchandise or material
• Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material, and arrange for the transportation of products
• Verify items received by inspecting condition and comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list
• Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials, including pickup and delivery times
• Prepare or enter manual bills of lading into relevant systems
• Confer and correspond with Purchasing Department to rectify problems such as shortages, over-shipments, or shipments received without a PO number
• Interact daily with carriers, customers, and other Intergraph employees
• Use computer systems, including DHL and FedEx manifest systems, and enterprise systems such as Dynamics GP, Costpoint and Amber Road/E2open
• Use Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Coordinate and control activity pertaining to Records Archives; including receiving documents to be archived, catalog documents received by division assignment, bar code items, scan items into database place items on a shelf location and pull items from shelf location as requested
• Provide assistance with intercompany shuttle services and mail services
• Provide assistance with international shipments, including preparation of commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, USMCA Certificates, Certificates of Registration, Shippers Letter of Instruction (SLI), Shippers Export Declaration (SED), and Automated Export System

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Professional demeanor and strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with others and to be flexible in handling multiple tasks
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, and organized
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Lifting, bending, stooping, and twisting are involved. Extended periods of walking, standing and/or sitting are frequently required.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to learn to use shrink wrap machine, handheld banding machine and USPS mail meter machine
• Preferably located within a 50 mile radius of Huntsville, AL
