Polygon US Corporation is Hiring a Client Development Manager Near Washington, DC

Overview:

The Client Development Manager (CDM) plays a critical leadership role within Polygon by overseeing and guiding initiatives to acquire new clients and expand the existing client base driving revenue growth. This position involves identifying, building relationships with, and converting prospective clients into long-term clients. 

The CDM will be engaged in coaching local sales and territory management on the quality of customers, expansion of revenue with current and introduction of new clients that enhance the health of Polygon US revenue. The focus is to increase services and loyalty between Polygon and the Customer.

Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Cultivation of current target clients to expand share of wallet for Polygon services, technologies, and solutions.
  • Support the research and identification of potential clients who align with Polygon’s target markets and offerings.
  • Develop and execute client opportunity strategies through various channels like networking, cold calling, social media, and attending industry events.
  • Qualify ideal clients to assess their needs and suitability for Polygons solutions.
  • Cultivate relationships with client stakeholders within regional, national and specialty (strategic) offices.

Relationship Building:

  • Build rapport and trust with prospective clients through effective communication and active listening and qualifying needs and problems to align with Polygon Solutions.
  • Understand their unique business challenges and needs to align Polygon value propositions and solutions.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships and enterprise opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
  • Negotiate complex deals and contracts to secure new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and manage account growth strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and offer solutions that align with the client’s goals.

Events, Sales Presentations and Proposals:

  • Demonstrated ability to be highlighted during events and in articles as a value driver for Polygon Solutions.
  • Develop compelling presentations and proposals that highlight Polygons value proposition and address client needs.
  • Deliver effective sales presentations that engage the audience and answer their questions confidently.
  • Negotiate opportunities to secure deals that benefit both Polygon and the client.
  • Work towards becoming a voice and subject matter expert to deliver the value proposition differentiating Polygon from competition.

Business Development and Partnerships:

  • Explore and develop new business opportunities through partnerships and strategic alliances.
  • Identify and negotiate co-marketing agreements and channel partnerships.
  • Work closely with various internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations to ensure the client’s needs are met and share insights to improve overall client satisfaction.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify new growth opportunities and potential client segments.
  • Analyze sales data to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with Sr. Director to adjust strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, or a related field preferred or equivalent 
experience.
• Ability to successfully manage a long sales cycle up to 2 years.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in client development, sales, or business development.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
• Proven sales strategies to deliver high value without commodity tactics
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Expertise in negotiation and contract management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Knowledge of the specific industry and target market is a plus.

• CRM software experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Social media marketing skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion to build strong long-term client relationships.
