Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: This position will provide global support and leadership to cross functional process owners on internal controls, specifically, control design, operation and testing approaches for existing higher risk processes and for relevant system implementations and new processes. This position will be responsible for the supporting the existing ITGC control environment, which includes IT scoping/rationalization, consultation with process owners on control design, operation and testing, as well as planning for the integration with new systems as a result of the Company’s technology transformation project. In this role, you will: Effectively manage the internal control process for business processes to ensure successful year-end external audits, including determination / rationalization for scoping, approach for testing and approach for process owner / action owner certifications Lead and manage the SOX control environment for ITGCs, including working with the external auditor, determination / rationalization for scoping, approach for testing and approach for process owner certifications Support the planning and integration of new systems as a result of the Company’s technology transformation project Provide education and support to the business process Financial Reporting Controls team in supporting process owners and sub-process owners as processes change or control requirements continue to evolve Identify and implement effort reduction projects, including optimization of the new audit tool implemented Lead team, set strategic objectives, develop staff and provide day-to-day support for team members What we look for: 9 years of total relevant professional accounting experience, including years with relevant experience in the SOX control environment Experience in big 4 public accounting experience preferred Ability to lead cross-functional change initiative and form solid business relationships across functions Demonstrated success with developing and/or managing transactional and business processes that result in GAAP compliance as well as process efficiency and effectiveness Ability to assess processes and systems to identify key control activities, determine whether they are functioning properly, and identify and implement improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness Lead and develop the FRC team to understand the business and drive process improvements and efficiency, especially as it related to tools and technology and effective ITGCs Strong project management Strong verbal and written communication, including the ability to influence others when it comes to communicating and developing processes with appropriate internal control considerations Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting Certified Public Accountant (preferred) Workplace type: Hybrid: (Onsite 3 days a week) We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
