Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The Clorox Company is seeking an outstanding junior to mid-level attorney to join our legal team. As a Corporate Counsel you will be supporting our commercial transactions group, reporting to Director, Legal – Commercial Transactions. In this role you will develop strategies around negotiating agreements that span the full scope of Clorox’s commercial transactions' practice, including related to procurement, logistics, marketing, and licensing. In addition, you will help driving strategic initiatives related to the contracting process at Clorox. Working closely with your colleagues in Legal and business partners across functions and business units. In this role, you will: Work on strategies for drafting, negotiate, and review legal agreements on a wide range of commercial transactions. Advise business partners on a variety of legal questions that arise from these transactions as well as relationships with our customers, suppliers, manufacturers, licensees, and more. Help transform our contracting practices at Clorox through cross-functional critical initiatives. Develop and provide Legal 101 and contracting trainings for our business partners. Communicate meaningful projects and issues up to Legal leadership and across to Legal team and other business partners. Assist on special projects as needed. What we look for: Experience 3-5 years of experience as an attorney at a law firm and/or in-house at a multinational company. Experience in transactional work, ideally including drafting and negotiating agreements. Specific experience in commercial transactions, licensing, and/or sophisticated commercial litigation a plus. Experience balancing multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment with proven skills in prioritizing projects. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to transform sophisticated information into clear, concise and actionable communications for business partners. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Be a self-starter, approach work with a sense of urgency. Education BA/BS and JD degrees required.
