Contract-to-Hire
Shifts: Monday - Thursday
1 st shift - 6 am - 4:30 pm
2 nd shift - 4:30 pm - 3 am
plus overtime on Friday/Saturday (will depend on the work load)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Operator will fill daily orders as designated by Production Manager/Production Planner to ensure accurate, on-time filling of product. The Production Operator will adhere to all Quality and Safety regulations.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•To properly read and follow the instructions, as spelled out, in the manufacturing order., if any doubt exists in the understanding and execution of said MO it is the operator's responsibility to communicate this directly to the Lead Operator
•Follow the directions of the specific room/machinery (i.e. sieve, sprinkles, aero-glide, bagging, etc.)
•To ensure all products packed, manufactured, or colored meet the standards as set forth in the written manufacturing order.
•To ensure all equipment is being operated under proper GMPs.
•Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
•Maintain work area in a sanitary condition.
•Attend to Employee amenities within the building based on a monthly rotating schedule (these are not daily tasks):

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Minimum 2 years of experience working in production/manufacturing environment, food manufacturing facility preferred
•Experience operating a sit-down forklift, a plus
•Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
•Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
•Self-directed and able to complete all tasks with minimal supervision
•Must be able to maintain production pace of equipment and expected throughput
•Ability to uphold safety, food safety, and production quality standards
•Able to work effectively with others
•Scheduling flexibility (ability to work early morning, evening and weekend shifts as needed)
•Able to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
A Production Operator needs to be able to lift 50 pounds and work on their feet, while using tools to perform repetitive actions, for a 10-hour shift. The operator must be available to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours.
