Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8 am - 5 pmJob Description:
- Responsible for handling air and ocean import cargo, predominantly ocean from the very start of the process to the end.
- Quoting for new shipments
- Arranging bookings with origin office
- Monitoring, tracking cargo along the shipment lifecycle
- Communicating with clients, vendors and internal colleagues and agents as needed
- Ensuring documents are received and correct
- Handover to brokers for clearance (internal and external)
- Reaching out to truckers for delivery rates, negotiating costs, scheduling deliveries
- Calculating rates and billing shipments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in import operations, preferably in the logistics industry
- Familiarity with customs regulations and import compliance
- Experience in Cargowise software, a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, WMS)
