Custodian Team Leader

JOB SUMMARY

Instruct, direct and supervise custodial cleaning team to clean assigned areas according to Goodwill and Federal Contract cleaning standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure each location has proper supplies needed

* Provide guidance to crew and ensure the crew stays on task.

* Perform basic custodial duties in a timely, safe and professional manner.

* Complete building inspections

* Ensure that cleaning equipment is operated in a safe manner

* Assist with training and onboarding of employees

* Conduct spot checks of buildings to ensure they are secure and cleaning requirements are met.

* Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position

* Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers and participants.

* Would prefer the person, be able to drive the Goodwill vehicles.

* Ensure Goodwill vehicles are kept clean and safe at all times.

* Drive with courtesy to others and positively represent Goodwill to the public.

* Comply with all Department of Transportation guidelines and Goodwill policies & procedures.

* Other duties as assigned or required to fulfill the contract

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

* One year custodial experience required

* Six (6) months experience leading teams or supervising is preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

* Must maintain valid driver's license and be insurable

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

* Must be able to use the custodial equipment necessary to do the job

* Must be aware of and follow OSHA safety regulations

* Must have a thorough knowledge of proper custodial procedures

* Maintain a good driving record that meets our Insurance Company's Guidelines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Medium

Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Moderate

Occasionally exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
