JOB SUMMARY
The Program Lead will assist in overseeing the day-to-day staffing, operations, and performance of the Work Experience Program for students with disabilities near completion of services in public school districts while providing a quality work environment for employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for staffing coverage at all Work Experience sites, covering any location with needs.
Responsible for following up with former students to assist in making referrals to community agencies or other Goodwill programs that will help with their job search/job coaching if necessary.
Assist with overseeing the delivery of services to special education students by ensuring adequate staff coverage at all sites and that staff has the necessary training to perform their job to meet the needs of students best.
Assist with working closely with the entire team to meet program quality and compliance standards.
Assist with determining what curriculum is needed to best prepare students for success in the workplace.
Assist with reviewing quarterly reports and case notes to ensure the accuracy of the content and that case note procedures are followed.
Assist with follow-up on case file audits completed by the Compliance Specialist by working with the team to make all recommended changes promptly.
Assist with creating professional development and training plans for the Work Experience team.
Assist with planning staff meetings.
Assist with conducting site visits as needed with a minimum of once monthly.
Assist with effectively recruiting, hiring, developing, supervising, and evaluating all Work Experience personnel.
Assist with building positive relationships with retail managers and liaisons at other community-based work sites.
Assist with continually assessing and identifying the community’s needs through strong relationships with schools and other agencies to best serve students and build efficiencies within the program.
Assist with monitoring the program budget and operating the program within budget guidelines.
Assist with overseeing the orientation of new students at the beginning of each school year.
Assist with working with internal and external partners to place students in permanent jobs and other vocational preparedness training to help participants maintain their skills.
Assist with making sound decisions regarding students’ daily activities and oversight and growth of the program.
Assist with promoting and ensuring mission integration through education, communication, and positive relationships.
Meet or exceed program outcomes/expectations defined in the Program Evaluation efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction measures, and CARF requirements.
Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and students. Assists in the onboarding of new employees as necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in human services, education, or related field preferred
Two or more year’s supervisory experience in a human services, rehabilitation, or educational setting preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
First Aid/CPR Certification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Must be able to make sound decisions in dealing with the day-to-day activities of students
Must demonstrate self-initiative
Must have a valid driver’s license and travel to various work sites.
Must be able to identify community resources and make appropriate recommendations
Must be able to identify necessary accommodations
Must be able to monitor required statistics to analyze program performance
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sedentary
Lifting up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and files. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

General office environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (Temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.)
