1100 West Investments LLC is Hiring a Senior Catering Sales Manager Near Miami, FL

POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Sales Catering Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue and enhancing guest experiences through the effective sales and coordination of catering events at the hotel. This position requires strong sales acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, and extensive experience in the hospitality industry. The work schedule will include days, evenings and weekends based on scheduled events or hotel necessity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve catering revenue targets and maximize profitability.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, event planners, and industry partners.
  • Strong and extensive prospecting, qualifying, and closing catering opportunities, ensuring a steady pipeline of business.
  • Collaborate with culinary and banquet operations teams to customize menus and event packages that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Coordinate all aspects of catering events, including site visits, menu tastings, room setups, and logistics, to ensure flawless execution.
  • Draft thorough Banquet Event Orders that will lead to precise execution.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, adhering to hotel policies and revenue management guidelines.
  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats to the business.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior sales team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Prepare comprehensive sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for presentation to senior management.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the venue and generate new business opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on catering and events.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and DELPHI sales management software.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to attend trade shows and conferences.
  • Knowledge of local market trends, competitor analysis, and industry best practices.
