Business Development Manager is responsible for handling all aspects of the individual transient sales efforts that includes Crew, Corporate, Consortia, Local, National, Volume and Wholesale accounts that would report directly to the Director of Sales, Events and Marketing.
Research, identify and build relationships with new and existing accounts.
Meet and exceed monthly proactive sales activity goals by presenting to local/regional accounts and uncovering new business
Prepare monthly Agency 360 reports with market analysis in weekly strategy meetings
Develop existing accounts and quarterly reviews with Travel Managers in the local market to ensure meeting targeted goals
Present reports highlighting market trends, account development and new prospects
Promote teamwork through daily communication with other departments
Conduct quarterly in-house events with transient travelers
Develop relationships with our HSF team
Conduct site visits for existing and targeted clients
Travel and present to corporate travel agencies annually
Manages and negotiates account details and contracts
Track accounts daily
Manage RFP negotiations and annual contract renewals
Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers

Qualifications
3-5 years of Hospitality industry experience, preferably the Business Travel segment
Knowledge of corporate, consortia, crew and wholesale market
Working understanding of Agency 360 reports
Professionalism, strong work ethic and selling skills
Ability to travel locally and once a quarter
Customer service oriented; Effective listener, verbal, written, negotiation and closing skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment, resourceful and remain positive
