Position Purpose
Responsible for providing instruction support in the classroom, including working one-on-one and in groups with students to reinforce lessons/curriculum; organizing and maintaining student data; ordering and maintaining instructional and clerical materials and supplies; assisting with reports and newsletters; participating in evening functions; assisting with student testing, selectins and registration; and keeping an inventory of equipment and supplies.

Essential Duties
- Assist students in the completion of assignments as appropriate. Oversee students as they work independently or in groups, in the classroom, resource area/lab or other designated areas.
- Monitor students during tests; administer make-up exams as directed.
- Process and organize books, instructional resources and other equipment for staff and student use.
- Assist teachers in grading assignments and tests as requested. Assist teachers in the preparation of instructional materials.
- Order and maintain instructional and clerical material and supplies as instructed.
- Assist with processing of student registration and academic reports according to building procedures.
- Type correspondence, memorandums, reports, purchase orders and other material as requested.
- Assist in maintenance of departmental files and records. Assist with, collect and receipt student fee/fines as directed.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies; process warehouse orders promptly and as needed. Assist in inventory of instructional material and equipment. Use copier as needed.
- Provide direction to student assistants.

STARTING SALARY RANGE : Grade 4 $17.89
WORK YEAR : 180 contract days
