Littleton Public Schools is a premier district committed to providing a rigorous and comprehensive educational experience for all students. LPS educates about 13,700 students ages PreK-21.There are ten elementary schools (K-5), four middle schools (6-8), and three high schools (9-12). LPS also offers six alternative education schools and two charter schools (K-8). Littleton is a community located in the south Denver Metro area, with a strong economic base and residents who are predominately college-educated and highly supportive of the school district. Newton Middle School is a safe inclusive environment where students grow, learn, and thrive. The school is home to approximately 800 students in grades 6-8. Newton Middle School is a High Achieving, High Growth school and has been recognized by the Colorado Department of Education with the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement and John Irwin School of Excellence awards. To go along with the awards for high achievement, Newton Middle School has partnered with the Anti Defamation League (ADL) through the No Place for Hate Program and has also implemented the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) concept through our CODE (Caring, Open Minded, Disciplined and Engaged). Newton Middle School aims to educate the whole child which includes social/emotional, academic, and cultural aspects. Requisition Specific Notes:
Master’s degree required.
Hold or be eligible to hold a Colorado administrative license at the time of the interview.
Minimum of five years’ experience in school administration.
Principal experience preferred.

Strategic planning, problem-solving, and project management skills
Small and large group facilitation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
This is a 214 day contract Salary Range: $107,563 - $131,447 July 1, 2024 start date
