The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year plus potential substantial variable compensation.
The actual pay may vary based on several factors, including professional experience, hiring location, skills, and competencies.
Regional Account Manager, Vertical Markets Energy & Industrial - REMOTE POSITION
Managing and developing assigned Account(s) in the Vertical Market as the regional lead role for the accounts in accordance with OIA Global's strategic targets. The individual furthermore propels customer relationships into true long-term partnership with focus on cross-selling and integrated solutions. In addition to that the Regional Account Manager is accountable to ensuring sufficient growth and business retention of the respective account portfolio.
Strategy and Business Development
•Serves as primary point of contact (regionally and/or globally) for major client for all programs operated by OIA, engaging with that client's global leaders both virtually and in-person to accelerate and ensure OIA's delivery against that client's strategic objectives.
•Identifies proactive opportunities to enhance OIA's support of the client, developing and leading the execution of project plans to achieve desired outcomes for OIA and its partners.
•Writes and maintain thorough strategic briefs to support defined brand targets and goals.
•Representing OIA Global as its primary point of liaison with the Key Account and serving as customer's regional point of contact on all business-related matters
•Proactive customer relationship management on all regional management levels including regular meetings with customer's management.
•Ensuring profitable business growth as well as business retention. The Regional Account Manager is accountable for the agreed customer related overall growth rate.
•Aligning with regional product and segment heads on business opportunities and ensuring appropriate business support
•Conclude and report the annual planning and growth of business in the region with the accounts. Furthermore, ensure that it aligns with the Global Account Planning where relevant.
•Ensure the customer's development strategy is aligned with the OIA Global capabilities as well as the Global Account strategy and that it translates into a long-term regional customer development plan.
•Identify and develop new and additional business opportunities for growth in revenue and gross profit for the assigned account portfolio in alignment with the Global account priorities.
•Support and lead the onboarding process for new customer in the portfolio.
•Respond to complex and sensitive logistical issues and questions; create innovative and profitable solutions.
•Prepare responses for customer RFP's/RFQ's and deliver within the customer specified timeline.
•Prepare presentations that support OIA's solutions to the customer.
•Regularly review account credit statements and DSO.
Customer Insights & Industry Leadership
•Gathering vertical intelligence and building Vertical insights.
•Identify customer / vertical-specific needs from frontline and client-engagements.
•Identification and formulation of future customer needs incl. setting priorities.
Sales Leadership & Engagement
•Engage in selling by leading sales teams in customer meetings.
•Act as customer advisor and expand share of wallet through additional products and solutions with mutual upside.
•Support the Regional Accounts community effectively within OIA Global.

•Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a persuasive, creative, confident, and timely approach

•Advanced interpersonal skills and experience, particularly in client-facing environments
•Capable of preparing and leading professional presentations
•Ability to exercise independent decision-making with outstanding organizational and prioritization skills and attention to accuracy and detail
Education and Experience:
•Minimum of 5 years' sales management experience in freight forwarding
•Minimum of 8 years' sales experience in Freight Forwarding Operations
•A minimum of 5 years' experience of multi-national client responsibilities
•A four-year accredited bachelor's degree is required; an M.B.A. or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
•The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, particularly luggage while traveling.
•A minimum of 50% travel within the regionally and internationally is required.
