Summary: The Supply Chain Program Analyst focuses on the OIA SCM Global procurement business unit and providing ongoing program analysis and continuous improvement for existing programs. Along with working closely with the Operations team and Costing team, the program analyst will analyze program performance, monitor program margins, optimize freight forwarding services, assist in the execution of continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in recurring client-facing pricing cycles.

Candidates must have a demonstrated background in data analysis in addition to effective communication skills to allow them to present their analyses within SCM and externally to client audiences. Additionally, the program analyst will also provide ongoing support for the execution analyst team in managing priority client accounts. This position is heavily dependent on strong analytic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively present analysis to an external audience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and proposes plans for improving program performance by analyzing consumption and margin trends against client targets
  • Creates ad hoc analyses to demonstrate ongoing program trends and performance
  • Develops ad hoc analyses to support Account Management efforts to optimize existing programs
  • Proactively communicates analysis highlights internally to Account Management and Costing
  • Evaluates and drives improvements for cross-functional programs
  • Attends and provides relevant support for client meetings requiring an analyst
  • Builds and validates analyses to assist the Account Management team in client presentations
  • Assists the Account Management team in presenting analyses to the client
  • Collaborates with the Costing team and Account Management team to execute seasonal price changes; proposes and implements quality assurance and automation measures where appropriate
  • Assists the Account Management team in presenting seasonal price changes to clients
  • Manages reporting intake from client to include facilitation of requirements gathering and completion of Reporting Intake process
  • Enables progress on priority Continuous Improvement initiatives in support of team and segment leadership
  • Collaborates with IT, Digital Strategy, and Operations to assist client report development
  • Assists with coordinating systems set up for existing programs with the Data Management Team
  • Communicates execution of existing program setup with domestic and overseas teams

Hours spent on responsibilities:

  • Meeting with peers: 6 hours per week
  • Meeting with clients: 2 hours per week
  • Email communications: 8 hours per week
  • Execution: 8 hours per week
  • Analysis: 16 hours per week

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency working in Excel
  • Able to learn multiple software systems
  • Power BI Skills a strong plus
  • Resourceful and able to resolve outstanding issues
  • Excellent reasoning, negotiation and listening skills in a cross-cultural environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and to work both in teams and independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to escalate issues to proper party when required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and or four years’ related work experience
  • At least one year of related experience in operations management, international trading, logistics or supply chain management a plus
  • Experience working with international and domestic customers a strong plus
