Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Clearing tables promptly after guests leave and returning dishes, silverware, and glassware to the kitchen for washing.
2. Wiping down tables and chairs, and sanitizing surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
3. Assisting servers in delivering food and drinks to tables when necessary.
4. Refilling water glasses and providing other assistance to guests as required.
5. Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
6. Keeping the dining area organized and presentable at all times.
7. Assisting in basic food preparation tasks, such as rolling silverware or garnishing dishes.
8. Communicating effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
9. Adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
10. Performing other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
2. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
5. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
7. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
2. Ability to lift and carry trays of dishes and bus tubs weighing up to 50 pounds.
3. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to perform cleaning and busser duties.

Work Environment: The work environment for a busser is typically indoors in a restaurant setting. It can be fast-paced and require working in close proximity to kitchen equipment and food preparation areas. The job may involve exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals.
