Title: IT Support Analyst
Reports To: Information Technology Coordinator
Salary: This is a full-time, 12-month position at 232 days with a salary range of $70,739.00 - $79,183.00
Job Summary (Primary Purpose):
Provide advanced end-user technical support to internal staff, with a focus on Windows and MacOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, and other business-critical software applications. This role provides guidance to Helpdesk technicians in the design and delivery of support services.
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Three years managing users, computers, and group policy in an Active Directory domain environment.
  • Three years deploying and managing Microsoft Office and other business application software on workstations.
  • Three years with Microsoft 365 administration (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Three years assisting users and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • One year of experience with a support ticketing system.
  • One year of experience with enterprise printing.
Special Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to work both autonomously, and as part of a team, with a high degree of initiative.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Advanced understanding and troubleshooting of issues on workstations, tablets, printers, phones, and mobile devices.
  • Advanced understanding of cybersecurity best practices for users and devices.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SSH, SCP, SFTP, HTTP, SMTP, SSL/TLS, VPN.
  • Basic troubleshooting of networking issues for Mac and Linux workstations.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, particularly during system outages or other emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MDM solutions (such as Intune, SCCM, Jamf) for deployment, configuration, and monitoring of endpoint devices.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Experience managing enterprise, subscription-based, and SaaS licensing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server in Hybrid configuration.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for issues related to network connectivity, cybersecurity, VPN access, Windows and MacOS operating systems, as well application support for email, file sharing, printing, telephony, cloud services, and mobile devices.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide regular updates on the status of support requests and projects.
  • Provide training to internal staff.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Evaluate and recommend new device specifications for technology lease program.
  • Plan and manage all aspects of technology lifecycle management for all staff.
  • Evaluate and recommend new enterprise software solutions, as well as changes to IT processes and procedures.
  • Work with external vendors to configure, troubleshoot, or provision user access to remote services as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

  • Indoor office environment.
  • Work remotely as required.
  • Occasional prolonged or irregular hours to meet organizational needs.
  • Ability to lift and carry components, such as display monitors, up to forty pounds.
