Reports To: Senior Coordinator for Professional Development Experience Salary: This is a full-time, 12-month position at 232 days with an annual minimum salary of $47,486. As a team member at ESC Region 13, you will contribute to both the Teacher Retirement System and Social Security. Primary Purpose: Join ESC Region 13 in delivering exceptional professional development experiences for teachers and educators! As a Customer Experience Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations at both our main campus in Austin and our satellite campus in La Grange. Your daily tasks will include setting up classrooms and conference rooms, providing A/V support for meetings, greeting guests, and maintaining the campus. When not supporting meetings and serving in-person clients, the CX Specialist supports our customers by assisting them via phone and e-mail with our online registration system, technical assistance with online courses, and other customer service responsibilities such as billing and payment questions. We also work closely with our facilities services team to create a clean, safe, and inviting space for all our customers. Your location schedule will vary based on client needs and events, allowing you to create a welcoming environment for guests at both campuses. In La Grange, you'll be the primary contact and may handle additional tasks such as furniture setup, hospitality and catering arrangements, and light custodial duties. Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
Set up classrooms and conference rooms for use each day, ensure that all equipment and supplies are in good condition, and configure meeting rooms according to the daily schedule and anticipated number of guests
Provide technical support for meetings, including troubleshooting any issues that arise with A/V equipment or software, connecting laptops to A/V equipment and troubleshooting Zoom meetings
Assist clients via e-mail and phone with inquiries related to event registration, account management, billing, and other systems support
Assist clients with accessing online courses, including troubleshooting connections, browser settings, and other technical barriers
Greet guests, assist with onsite registration for workshops and events, ensuring a positive customer experience
Assist ESC Region 13 team members and presenters with workshop and event needs
Ensure the general upkeep of the campus; maintain and order office supplies, equipment, and hospitality supply levels, perform light janitorial duties to maintain a clean and organized workspace, and escalate major maintenance issues to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner
Perform other department administrative and support duties as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of experience in a related role, such as office management, hospitality, or event planning
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Speed and efficiency using web-based systems and applications
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
Aptitude for minor troubleshooting of meeting technology, including connecting laptops to A/V equipment and troubleshooting Zoom/Teams meetings
Ability to work independently at a satellite location
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Adaptability
Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
A/V equipment such as projectors, microphone systems, videoconference technologies, etc.
