The Human Resources department is seeking a passionate, self-motivated, and innovative professional to join our team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to perform a full spectrum of talent acquisition duties, recruiting across various roles and functions to serve a diverse group of assigned departments and professions.

You will have the opportunity to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with your assigned departments and hiring managers helping to attract, hire, and onboard people with a passion for public service.

This role requires excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking abilities to build relationships with stakeholders, understand hiring challenges, position needs, and the right combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities for each successful hire.

Key duties include

  • Develop strategies to attract high-quality candidates using our shared values and strategic priorities as a backdrop.
  • Develop job postings and social media content to reach target audiences.
  • Screen applications and resumes in alignment with qualifications.
  • Conduct comprehensive interviews and manage the hiring process to enhance candidate experience.
  • Use an electronic applicant tracking system to facilitate communication with candidates and track recruitment-related metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding employment and maintain a high standard of ethical recruiting practices.
  • Facilitate a positive candidate experience through clear communication, timely feedback, and interviewer preparedness.
  • Source candidates for hard-to-fill positions and build candidate pipelines using a variety of platforms and techniques.
  • Maintain the department's digital media presence to showcase the County as an employer of choice.
  • Stay updated with the latest recruiting trends and practices, bringing fresh ideas and insights to our talent acquisition efforts.
  • Deliver training and advise hiring managers on recruitment and onboarding best practices.
  • Coordinate pre-employment screening on selected candidates.
  • Serve as on-boarding coordinator to selected new hires which includes creating offer letters, entering payroll setup information, answering questions, and coordinating information flow between multiple departments.
  • Create and update reports, spreadsheets, and systems to aid in tracking recruitment efforts.
  • Assisting with new hire orientation to include I-9 compliance, creating ID badges, and presenting information as needed.

Compensation

The hiring range for this position begins at $51,111 a competitive benefits package. Salary is negotiable, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field and 1 year of related experience. Relevant experience may substitute for degree requirements.

Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with diverse groups of people, excellent computer skills, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, shift gears quickly, and absorb highly technical concepts.
  • Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritize work.

Hours are 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM Monday - Friday. Must be available to work during emergency situations.
