Safety is a Shared Responsibility and Yonkers Contracting Company, has an opportunity for a Site Safety Manger to join our team in Gowanus, Brookyn! Qualified candidates must have 5-7 years of civil contracting experience. Familiarity with NYC & NYS DEP a plus. Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Site Safety Manager administers the safety program and serves as the safety advisor, ensuring safety compliance by the project team, all union labor and subcontractors working at the site.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

• project specific safety efforts and promote Yonkers Contracting Safety First culture
• implement site-specific safety program
• employees & subcontractors’ adherence to the site-specific safety & health plan
• site-safety orientation for all employees assigned to the site
• and/or coordinate worker training, maintain training records
• anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control
• proper use of personal safety protective equipment
• daily safety inspection and Safety tool talks
• and report all accidents
• track and ensure all certifications are current
• all safety related documentation
• audits: safety, inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment, compliance documentation
• technical guidance and coaching

Experience: 5-7 years of construction safety management experience

• with NYC & NYS DEP (a plus)
• Hazwoper 40 Hour
• OSHA 30
• MPT
• Skills are essential – Word and Excel
• have valid driver’s license (will require authorization for a motor vehicle report)
• provide valid identification to work in the U.S (form I9)
