About us

Island Topsoil is a small family-owned company in Waianae, HI. We are fast-paced, customer-centric and collaborative. Our work environment includes a casual atmosphere and company perks.

Applicants not already located in the Waianae area or not willing to relocate/commute to Waianae need not apply.

This position provides project administrative support to the office team.

Administrative Assistant Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations
  • Maintains physical and digital filing systems
  • Answers phone calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel
  • Schedules appointments and signs for incoming packages
  • Assists clients and other visitors
  • Responds to emails and other digital queries and correspondence
  • Drafts and edits letters, reports, and other documents
  • Inputs and updates information in databases and spreadsheets
  • Prepares meeting agendas and takes meeting minutes
  • Operates and maintains office equipment, including printers and copiers
  • Works with maintenance and outside vendors to ensure office equipment is in good working order and supply inventories are maintained
  • Works closely with other administrative staff supports other colleagues as needed
  • Works well with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations
  • Ensures deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities

  • Sensitivity to confidential information

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
