Rockland Federal Credit Union is Hiring a Credit Analyst Near Rockland, MA

Duties:

Responsible for supporting business development in the credit analysis and underwriting of commercial loan packages in accordance with established lending policies and procedures. Perform a variety of duties under the general supervision of the SVP/ Chief Lending Officer, which includes visibility with members assisting developing and managing member relationships.

  • Serves as an underwriter for small business and commercial mortgages requests up to $1,000,000, including but not limited to real estate, vehicles and/or equipment and unsecured loans. Prepares in-depth written financial analysis memorandums in compliance with lending policies and regulations. Reviews real estate appraisals and environmental reports. Recommends loans for approval or declination, which may include presentations to senior management or loan committee;
  • Prepares financial spreadsheets on business borrowers and personal guarantors that analyze profitability, affordability, liquidity and computes ratios to evaluate the applicants' financial status;
  • Tracks the annual review and risk rating process of assigned portfolios. Updates borrower financial analysis with current information and re-assesses the borrower's risk rating;
  • Performs ongoing loan servicing administration of in-house loans. Maintains and organizes all loan folders within assigned portfolio;
  • Assists with the maintenance of the department's reporting system, including but not limited to loan exceptions tracking, concentration limits, annual review spreadsheet, and other recurring portfolio reports. Supports ad-hoc reporting needs as requested by management;
  • Assists with managing construction loan disbursement process. Prepares disbursement request memos according to policy, orders title updates and may perform construction progress inspections;

Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

Accounting, finance, or business degree preferred or comparable experience. Prior commercial credit and lending experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous customer service experience, preferably in a banking or finance environment. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel. Experience in SBA 504, 7A, and Express Loans. Demonstrated ability in critical/analytical thinking and mathematical reasoning. Good time management skills and attention to detail. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.

Schedule:

Full-Time, 40 hours/week.
